07 Mar Men Giving Back Hosts 4th Annual Backyard Battle at Boca West Country Club
Members and guests of Men Giving Back gathered at Boca West Country Club last week for the organization’s 4th Annual Backyard Battle, a night of fun, philanthropy and friendly competition.
More than 100 members and guests attended the event, which was made possible through the generosity of Boca West Country Club and anonymous Men Giving Back member-sponsors. The evening’s competition tested a wide range of skills including axe throwing, putting, long-driving, and air-hockey.
The mission of Men Giving Back, established in 2020, is for philanthropic-minded men in South Palm Beach County to support local nonprofits focused on children, food security, education, and mental health and have fun doing so.
“This is such a great way to raise awareness for our unique organization,” said Eddie Ventrice, Men Giving Back founding member. “Keeping it simple and fun, while fostering camaraderie really appeals to our members, and the success of the Backyard Battle is a testament to that.”
In just 4 years, Men Giving Back has contributed nearly $1.5 million to local charities. In 2023, the organization awarded four major grants of $100,000 each to American Association of Caregiving Youth, Boca Helping Hands, the Hanley Foundation, and Love Serving Autism, as well as additional funds to another 20 charitable organizations.
