15 Jan CMX Cinemas Wellington Unveils Two Movie-Themed Cocktails
CMX Cinemas Wellington at The Mall at Wellington Green has just released two of the biggest films in January – Mean Girls and The Beekeeper.
In conjunction, guests can enjoy two new limited time cocktails themed after each movie from Cask + Shaker. Channel your inner Regina George with the Mean Girl Margarita ($14.99), or feel the sting of The Beekeeper with The Stinger ($14.99).
Cocktails are available now through February 1.
Mean Girl Margarita
3 muddled strawberries
1.25 oz. Espolon Blanco tequila,
.25 oz. agave syrup
.75 oz. strawberry syrup
.75 oz. Triple Sec
2 oz. sour mix
.25 oz. fresh-squeezed orange juice
1 strawberry (for garnish)
1 lime wheel (for garnish)
Combine all ingredients with ice in a cocktail Shaker. Shake briskly. Strain into a tall glass with a sugar rim over fresh ice. Garnish with a whole strawberry and a lime wheel on a skewer.
The Stinger
2 oz. Bulleit bourbon
.50 oz. caramel syrup
1 orange peel (for garnish)
Muddle an orange peel in a shaker tin, add ice, and stir. Strain over a king ice cube in a rocks glass. Garnish with an orange twist.
