The childhood joys of summertime often include bike rides with family and friends.  For the fourth summer, Boca West Children’s Foundation donated bikes to hundreds of kids as they completed the school year.  Since the Foundation launched the program “Bikes for Tikes” in 2020, it has donated more than 1,000 bikes and helmets to underserved children.

The Foundation recently donated 227 bikes to Roots and Wings for children who reached their literacy goals and 70 bikes to the YMCA of South Palm Beach County for Pre-K graduates.

“We work closely with our charity partners to determine what would make summertime special for the local kids that they serve.  Bikes rides with friends came at the top of the list,” said Pamela Weinroth, Executive Director of the Foundation.
