21st Delray Beach Home Tour Benefitted Achievement Centers for Children & Families

Homeowners in seven of Delray Beach’s beautiful intracoastal Palm Trail neighborhood opened their doors to visitors during the 21st Annual Delray Beach Home Tour benefiting Achievement Centers for Children & Families (ACCF) on Tuesday, March 12th. The Delray Beach Home Tour was a unique opportunity for more than 750 people to receive an inside look at the flourishing gardens and exquisite interiors of the homes.

“Each year we choose a different Delray Beach neighborhood where homeowners present refined interior designs and diverse architectural styles,” said Kari Shipley. “The Home Tour highlights a range of residences including luxurious intracoastal homes, oceanfront estates, and seaside cottages providing home decorating enthusiasts with an inside look into the world of distinctive Delray coastal living.”

During the tour, which attracted visitors from throughout South Florida, guests enjoyed a leisurely day exploring unique residences, a catered luncheon and trolley service between homes.

All Home Tour ticket sales and sponsorships benefited ACCF, which supports children and families throughout Delray Beach and the surrounding neighborhoods. At ACCF children are involved in Early Learning (Toddler and Preschool), Out-of-School (After School and Summer Camp), and Teen Mentoring programs that prepare them for academic and social success and empower them to discover their talents. ACCF families are served through programs like Family Support and Economic Stabilization, which benefit the community by helping families in crisis; enabling them to serve as the foundation of their child’s growth.

This year’s partner sponsor was Delray Buick GMC. The sponsor of the luncheon was A Little Wyld, with Lisa Wennick at Douglas Elliman as the dessert sponsor. The media sponsor was Lifestyle Media Group.

Home Sponsors were:

Architectural Design Studios, Artistic Elements, Compass, Delray Dermatology and Cosmetic Center, Engel and Volkers, Lisa and Michael Tiernan, Mr. Larry Eaten at Merrill Lynch Wealth Management, Northern Trust, Opal Grand,  and Taylor Family Foundation.

Trolley Sponsors were:

Azure Development, Graham Foundation, and Sklar Furnishings.

This year’s Swag Bag Sponsor was Mouw Associates Inc.

The Home Tour was first conceived by long-time ACCF board members and supporters Anne Bright and Barbara Murphy. The Home Tour draws 700 visitors annually, including more than 100 dedicated volunteers.

“We are beyond grateful for the support of all our hardworking volunteers, the homeowners who graciously allowed visitors into their homes, and, of course, our dedicated sponsors,” said ACCF Events Manager, Julia Corliss. “The ongoing support from our community enables us to deliver top-notch programming and create fresh opportunities for the children and families we assist. We look forward to assisting under-resourced families through this year’s Home Tour, as the demands of our community persistently grow.”
